I won't bore anyone with the details but suffice to say I need one of the above. However, both Tire Rack and Discount Tire are out of stock, back ordered and have no idea when that size will be back in stock. The Discount guy said there are none in any GY warehouses and the Tire Rack guy said the last time they had any was in February. And apparently, Goodyear isn't giving any indication as to when they might be available again. I don't want to buy a used one of eBay or forum Parts For Sale sections if I can avoid it. Any help would be appreciated, TIA...

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, they're on back order there as well. Jim Garren (toptechx6) sent me a link to JC Whitney and they claim to have them in stock ($420 a piece). The Discount Tire guy has Nitto 555s in that size for $200 a piece including shipping. Don't want to run Nittos on the rear and GYs on the front so for another $320 I can get two Nitto 555 285-40-17s for the front. Seems kind of crazy to buy a set of new tires just because of a blowout on one especially because there's plenty of wear left on the fronts. However, if the Nitto 555s review well (haven't looked yet), then I just might buy a set and sell off the GYs....

Update:

Based on wear, it was time to replace the other 315 as well. JC Whitney had a couple of the 315s in stock for $420 a piece. The Nitto 555s had great reviews so for $725 shipped I got 2 315/35/17s, 2 275/40/17s, new stems and lifetime road hazard insurance (if the tire can't be repaired, they replace it free). $80 to mount and balance and life is good again.

BTW, if you need a couple of 275/40/17 GS-D3s in good shape, they're listed at the other place....
