Wife's car...

In the beginning Chrysler decided that it would be a good idea to put oil filled rubber motor mounts on their new model called the Pacifica.. which don't seem to last very long. Now my wife's car has 2 busted motor mounts. They are not torn, just the oil bladder it burst. I ordered them from Rockauto but I can not get the rear one out!!

I did some internet reading yesterday, turns out that this is a common problem with this car. Some people even had it happen at 11k miles!!

Dealer wants $280 to install the mounts that I have already bought.. almost sounds like a bargain to me.

The Pacifica was the last stand of the old LX platform, so it's FWD, with a north south engine, right?

I have no idea how to do this... I would have to see one. I could ask a friend of mine, but he works at a dodge dealer.

Yes, it's FWD with the engine turned sideways or left-right as you're standing in front of the car.

I had the mount loose and was only missing getting it out by about 1/2" but could not get the engine up that extra distance.
