I was at the oil change place yesterday getting my 84 winterized and the owner came in to talk with me.
He said that it's none of my buisiness but you seem kind of a young man to have a Corvette,If you don't mind me asking, how did you come about owning a Corvette?
I then told him the story of how after years of wanting it and knowing that it was my destiny to own it some day and then how I've fixed it up and how I've got a long way to still go on it.
He told me I looked about 35 or so and couldn't believe that I will be 46 in Jan. :thumbright: He invited me to come to his house and drive a model A ford and told me that he had a 1956 Corvette that I might like to have to fix up.
I told him right away that I definately couldn't afford to buy one of those and he said that he knew that and to just come by and drive it and if I liked it then we could work out something.
I've known this guy for years, from the service station and I know he's not a flake.
So, maybe more than one corvette is in my future. If not,It will be fun as hell to drive a 56,and make a new friend.

whoa... a 56? dude, that's hot.

Even a low end car, all original, but not a 100pt car is worth > $75k.

if it has the right options, it could double.

Lets hope that I don't screw it up,I ain't gonna post about it until I see more.
Even if I can't swing the 56,I still get to drive it when I want.
He would like me to drive his truck in the xmas parade.
The best thing is I met a great person and started a new friendship. That's the icing on the cake.

a new friendship can be most satisfying. And you never know what doors it might open.
