So I was able to get some $$ together and bought a second Arc Audio Ks 300.4 (90x4) so I have 2 now

I also was able to buy a Eclipse CD8053 which has capability for 3 way active system. So I have a New plan

one channel for EACH speaker

Will use the band pass capability of the HU to both the 4" midrange and 6.5" midbass. then the Amps will handle the HP for the 4" and LP for the 6.5.

Hopefully it will all work out

Neither can I..

It will be nice to ditch the passive Crossovers in favor of Active stuff.

Also has a Aux in, so might even try to use my Droid with it..

but for now I need to order a couple more pieces for wiring...

Yes Very.. Wonder how well Tweeters will hold to 90watts.. LOL

the nice thing is I can tweak levels for each channel. PLus the 24dB slope crossover function.. going to be a busy winter

You should find a used spectrum analyzer... you can now justify it. Otherwise, you will be so damned screwed up with all the crossover settings, you will have subbass coming from the mids.

Helps to have a plan

when i was trying to research the HU I am buying I cam across this thread:
CD8053 with active 3way Plus Sub

it is a similar set-up as far as drivers.. so here is what I am thinking for the initial setup

Speakers:
Woofers (using either eD EU700s or my 9kv.2s)
Mid bass CDT EF6
Mid Range CDT CL4
Tweeter TW24

Initial Crossover points:
Woofer: LP - 80hz, 24dB/oct slope

Midbass: HP - 80hz, 24dB/oct slope, LP 500hz 12dB/oct slope
Midrange: HP 500hz 12dB/oct slope, LP - ~5000hz, 24dB/oct slope

Tweeter: HP - ~5000hz, 24dB/oct

the two 12dB/Oct slopes are due to the limitation of the Active Crossovers of the Amplifier, since the HU has a 3-way active setting I am using the Amps Crossovers to split the midrange signal

Plan is one amp will run the woofers and the midbass, the second will run the midrange and tweeter.

I am thinking it should sound fairly decent to start with, then the tweaking begins
