I'd liked to see what is in it...If possible it could be modified internally to make better power/sound?

Hi yes i did and it is not worth it.
I am a welder and it would have taken me much to long to cut and modify it and weld it back together.
Takeing it to a welder to have it done would cost you 2x as much as a new muffler.
Better off getting some flowmasters.

Hi sorry no i did not but trust me it is not worth messing with, fist there is a lot of fiberglass in it and second it is made out of very thin stainless steel.
When you look at it from the out side it looks like a regaler muffler but when you get it apart it is built like 2 mufflers one inside the other with a 3rd shell with holes in it and in and out pipes.
all that is rolled around 3 layers of very fine fiberglass,
Only a machine shop with a robotic welder can cut one open with out doing damage to the fine steel and be able to weld it back together.

Ok i asked a Friend of mine (Who has a machine shop and a robotic welder) how much he would charge to modify one after i told him how much trouble i went thou to try and do it to mine.
He said about $350.00 and thats for just one!
For that kinda cash you could buy a hole new stainless system.

I have been wondering the same thing. My intent was never to open up the muffler but instead do some surgery through one of the holes like this. Can someone verify the flow path.
