Today, I was fortunate enough to spend a few hours with the scholarship recipient from our Club's Scholarship Annuity Account. The School of Engineering hosted a luncheon to honor both recipients and donors.

Afterward Stephen Chung, our recipient student took us on a tour of the University of Maryland Terrapin Racing Team Shop.
He will be the Team Captain next year and is looking for a closer relationship with Corvette Club of America.

I told him I wished the scholarship money was more and that it could cover a larger part of his expenses. He was very thankful for what he received and said the the best part of the whole award was that he had the "Coolest" sponsor of everyone! Corvette Club of America. He was grinning ear to ear!!

Here are some photos from today at this link.

Bitchin. My only regret of Formula SAE was not getting involved in it sooner than I did in school. A scholarship for me would have meant less time working and more time doing activities like that.

I like the idea of the training kart. Would be cool though to keep last year's car running though instead, but I know most teams steal all the parts off it.

That's one of the best looking SAE's I've seen, Don.

Yea, the kart's a great idea. One of the hard things about running Solo is that there's no place to practice.
