1984? I could blame both equally.

There are diags in the manual.

Pappy, you would have to used a DVOM and test different wires at the motor/board to make sure the switch is giving the correct power. The clicking won't tell you.

Per the FSM Diagnostic Chart (8E-2):

"Wiper has "HI" speed only - won't delay"

Probable cause is faulty motor

Ok, well that's new information, Pappy. It sounds like the board then.

You still need to do the troubleshooting steps in the FSM to diagnosis it. The system is pretty simple, so it's the switch, motor, or circuit board. Could be a mechanical failure, too, as "gear train" is one of the culprits in the FSM for intermittent operation, but that doesn't sound like yours.

Pappy, that green Printed circuit board is the culprit if the motor is not bad.

Think about it, when it gets damp (like on a rainy day) it fails......dry day and the wipers work fine.....

Only one thing....PCB is failing or getting wet due to bad housing seal.

My wipers only work on dry days......

Glad you got it fixed...it makes it worse when it's two problems combined in the same issue! I also deleted your double post for you.
