Hi, you are correct about making a cable. The end that connects to the car could be gotten from a wreck in a grave yard. The other end you could just change the connectors for both the box and the cable you scrounged. However, I would explore Newark or Allied electronics on line catalog and see if that connector (box end) is available. If so then all you would a have to do is figure out pin connections...When you get that far if necessary I will ring out each pin for you and email it. Could I interest you in copying that manual, scaning or mailing it to me? I have a unit but in lending it out over the years the manual never came home...so now I a searching for one of those.

Yeah we don't frequent LA much since Grandma died and Grandson is going on three. I've been busy checking off bucket list items. Got my timing ticket at Mojave this April with a 176.4 in the Z06. Still trying to sell the 86 with few tire kickers looking.
So I'll check the P/N on this box and see if it will help someone. Say Hey to the wife. |

I know this is an old thread, thanks for getting back anyway. My vett is a 93 ABS/ASR code DTC72 is showing and the lights for both on the dash are lit all the time. FSM says in the first step of diagnosis to "install off board device" I assume this is the kent moore tester? Anyway it seems that without this tool I am stuck, was looking for some help or maybe even putting a deposit on you tool and paying for shipping both ways if you are still loaning it.

Bam - that tester is for a different abs system on 86-89 corvettes. Start a separate tech thread and we'll what we can do.
