My u-shaped rubber trim right up against the glass is coming off, ?shrunk maybe. Is there a fix? replacement? If I remove it altogether is there a downside?

I donno about that one... i guess it provides some form of padding for the top to the frame?

Who sells the stuff? I'm talking about the rubber u-shaped trim against the glass. It's by the tips of your left hand fingers in the 3rd pic.
