A couple of months ago I installed a built 4L60E in my '95 and also at that time, reinstalled my 3000 Vigilante for the first time in about a year or so. All's been well until today when I took the first trip on the interstate with it in a couple of weeks. It was only a short trip, about 10 miles, to visit my new employer that I'm going to work for soon. Anyhow, it wouldn't go into converter lock-up either there or on the return trip. However, once I got back on the two-lane for the last few miles before home, it kicked in fine at 45-46 MPH where it normally does. On this curvy road, I'm unable to get much over 55 for long but it went in and stayed in as it should. I haven't checked for codes yet, it's just too freakin' cold here to go out in the garage tonight! But I will check that Saturday. I just wondered if anything might jump out at you as to why it would work at slower speeds but not at 70 or so. Thanks.

Before you do anything, give vigilante a call. It is possible that the converter needs more line pressure to allow lock up. I seem to remember twisted having a similar problem.
