too fast... too small a track... and not enough experienced drivers.

Sounds like the 405... meh. A good man died because of it.

My thoughts watching the first 2 laps were: This isn't good.

I only saw replays... but when the wreck started, even before, it all of a sudden dawned on me this was a bad idea (racing at Vegas).

They should have kept to the down town street course.

It now makes CART look smart for cancelling the race at Texas a few years back. Drivers were coming out of their cars after 4 or 5 laps literally dizzy from the g's in the corners.

The first thing that bothered me was the banking and the cars that were using it to go 3 or 4 wide. That plus the side drafting, even in the turns. I've experienced side drafting in open wheel and it makes the car nervous, at 225, your steering wheel corrections are about a 1/16th inch turn of the wheel (though my experience is at 150 tops). Plus, lock to lock on the rack is about 3/4's of a turn.

Racing without lifting is "racing?"

The new NASCAR "bowls" are no longer racing.
When the tracks go back to ovals (straights and turns),
I believe the fans will return and the tracks will slow down.

NOT.............

Indianapolis has the right design.
The new tracks with hi banks designed to increase corner speed (corner entry) have it wrong and make for boring raves.

It isn't going to change though. NASCAR will get even more ridiculous. Indycar and Rolex gave been Nascared up for quite a while.
