Yeah, plus you have to set the gears up on it all over again.... Sucks.

I want to do an Eaton posi on a truck 12 bolt, but it gets pricey quick.

I may be wrong on this but I thought you only had to replace the shims on the ring gear bearings in the same order as you took them out when installing a locker. If the lash is greater, you may have to add a thicker shim. You don't mess with the pinion gear?

Get a Ford 9". It's a better diff.

Yeah, cheaper and easier to work on, and stronger.

But that's even more expensive to put one in at this point. I'll stick with the 12 bolt. My truck won't know the difference.
