I bought new alternator but it's 140 amps instead of 105 stock.
Should I upgrade wire to the battery and how thick wire should I use?

IT might not be a bad idea to upgrade the wire to the battery or to the distro block. Here is why, I bought an upgraded alturnator for my camaro a few years back when I had it and the alturnator was a High Output car audio grade. Well it worked fine for about 2 months till one day I smelled something burning and smoke came out from under the hood. The wire going to the distrobution block incinerated which means about 6 INCHES of wire was vaporized...gone! I upgraded to 8 guauge wire and never again had a problem.
