Any horror stories on any brands lately?
Timken's are easy to get from the local store, about $125.00 each. Just curious befor I buy. Some of the "net" gossip was that Timken was doing a lot of out sourcing the last 2-3 years, no way of knowing for sure. Thanks Joel |

yer welcome.
the info I shared with Joel in PM isn't super secret, just don't want to over blab it. A gentleman has some left over Tommy Morrison rear wheel bearings. These are OEM GM bearings used in the old Corvette Challenge series... but they were packed with Mobil 1 synthetic grease. They have about 50 miles of either racing or practice on them. Far from trashed. I have had mine on since May... but that doesn't mean jack since my car spent the last 4 months on jack stands. |

ITHZ - If you are interested, Axel found out that certain camaro bearings will fit...I don't have the part numbers off hand but I can find them later. The bearings are much more cost effective and you can still get AC Delco last time I checked.

Not rear hubs... there is an f-body fix for the front, but there is no cheap out for the rear.
I do not know if more are available. I will check and get back to you. I don't want to give the guy's email address out to the world, ya know. Rockauto has SKF rear bearings for $140 per... that's a very high quality part. |
