I need a battery charger/tire inflator combination. I'd prefer it to be reasonably small and reasonably lightweight.

Anybody have any thoughts and/or good experiences with specifc ones?

Yea, they're all junk.

We tried several brands of just the jumpstart things at the racetrack, they all failed in 1 year.

The only thing I can see online is:

I have a 12v pump from Sears, it works but takes forever like all of them.

Are the chargers you're looking at 120v.?

Are you talking about for home use or portable for the car?

As usual, I wasn't clear enough - portable for the car.

I have a battery box thing... mighty max or something? It seems to be ok. Good for car use...

I also have this cheap CutlerHammer wallmart special air compressor. Paid $20 for it 15 years ago or so and it still cranks along.

I have a cheap portable one for the car...probably from Walmart or Target or similar..durabuilt or some name like that. I used it many times to fill up my suv tires before I had a real compressor. Cost maybe $15 or $20. No problems with it.

As far as a jumper box...I have a cheap one from Autozone. The only time I ever used it it didn't work because the van battery was so dead. Jumper cables didn't work either, though, so I can't comment on the quality.
