Got to the Chevy display at 8, no one else was there but the marketing people.

Nice looking cars for all the views except one.

The interior's the best one to date but still doesn't come up to Porsche quality, it will do though.

They wouldn't let me sit in one cause they are "pre-production" , guess they're scared something will fall off.

The whole back end still sucks.

The has a Z28 with the "track package" there. I'd really like to drive one.

People compare to Porsche all the time... I call foul... why?

A base Porsche Boxter interior is on par with the C7 base, but the thing is, starting with the 911, they get option crazy... and can spend $20k on leather bits to bling the interior up.

A base 911 is still an $80k car, where the Vette is a $50k car... and that is the crux of this. I would hope that for $80k more you get a better interior...

To me, it's apples and oranges.

As for prior Vette interiors... meh... the seats were iffy and the materials icky. Personally, I think the 1992-93 interior is better than the later 94-96.

Pooorchaa & Corvette are not intended to be direct competition I never thought. Upper crust vrs. Blue collar. I think GM wants to steal some business from the P guys because of how expensive they are.

I was reading in my Vette mag that a guy wrote in and he had a Cayanne or something like that and he got pissed with the snooty attitude of the Porsche dealers and service and the cost to get anything done was stupid. He got a new Grand Sport and never looked back.....loves it...
