He built that weapon to better defend tank soldiers. His reasons and actions were all for his fellow soldier.
For a military man, his purpose had the highest order of honor and priority. He was absolutely right about blaming the politicians. |

His gift was simplicity. And durability.
The AK47 was a hunk of junk from a precision/accuracy perspective, but if you wanted to throw lead at the subject for days at time, nothing would come close. Easy to field strip and maintain, too. |

ABSOLUTELY. THE RUSSIANS ALWAYS ADHERED CLOSELY TO THE KISS PRINCIPAL IN THEIR SMALL ARMS AND ARTILLERY. IN THE US ARMY WE ALWAYS HAD JOE NUMBNUTS WHO COULD BREAK A STEEL BALL WITH A RUBBER HAMMER. THE RUSSIANS MUST HAVE HAD A LOT OF IVAN NUMBNUTS. |
