I finally replaced the brakes on my '92 this paat weekend.

The last setup had Powerslot, slotted rotors using Hawk HP-Plus track pads.

The pads were super aggressive and seriously worn, and the rotors were lunched... I think a good 3 mm on the rotors.

The new brakes are Powerslot - using their "cheap" ceramic pads. So far, not too shabby.

Now I have to figure out why the brake light is coming on...

I also tested my new power bleeder from Harbor Freight....
under $22.00 for appears to be the same tool K&B sells for like $75!!! Works VERY nicely.

Just a suggestion on the brake light, check the E-brake contact "spring". I spent about 4 hrs a few years ago with mine and it was the contact. On mine it's just a small piece of sprung steel to complete the circuit.

I will check that, good point! but the light has been intermittent for some time, now...

The master is 12 years old and has 130k miles on it, so if it was dying, I wouldn't be surprised it if was dying.

Which bleeder kit did you get? I think I need to bleed my brakes and don't want to guess which one to get.

I've had this one for at least 5 years and it works just fine:

They also sell a mity-vac model but I have no experience with it:

I built one with a $10 HF vacuum pump (the one for a/c systems).

If HF had that one when I bought the pump, I would have bought it.
