I picked up a new radiator cap for my 92 last night... and it was made in Israel... Kosher car parts... how novel. |

oh, no... don't dis on Taiwan.
They have some of the best automated plants in the WORLD. Excellent metallurgy, top notch quality control. Very little that I have bought from Taiwan is a problem, if anything, it's been very good. I get all my computer motherboards from MSI, a Taiwanese based firm. They assemble there using Japanese components. World class stuff there, seriously. Taiwan builds to a quality measure, not a price point. Don't get me wrong, I am sure some of the plants do, but for the most part, I haven't seen much of it. The clutch slave on my Vette is a NAPA part made in Taiwan. It's been great... 20k miles and only needed fluid once. Very happy with it. |
