General Motors did many questionable things in the 1970s and 1980s, but the 1977 to 1990 full-size B-bodies were not one of them. Good, honest cars.

I see one of those old Caprice's running around St. Paul in the summer, jacked sky-high with 24" wheels. An ignoble existence for a decent car.

I saw one of these today - an 80's Mitsubishi Starion Turbo. I remember lusting after one when I bought my Sapporo:

Nice articles, John. Now I am waiting for the 1980s Chevy Blazer...my first car was a 2 dr S10 Blazer 4x4 with a 2.8 liter and 5 speed. I loved that thing.

like anything else Mistu made, it was suspect on durability.

They broke camshafts... turbo's leaked... all sorts of stupid and expensive problems.

I had my Sapporo for 9 years, ran like a champ the whole time. The shock towers in the rear were starting to rust out when I got rid of it, but that's about the only problem.
