I have to get one at work soon, although work is paying for it for me, which is good. I do a fair bit of fork lift driving at work now.

The battery was flat in the forklift at work the other day, 3 of us tried to push it across flat ground so we could get another vehicle in to jump start it, no way in the world was it going anywhere with the 3 of us pushing it. So we took the battery out of one of the work cars and took it to the forklift, after id done my bit of truck unloading, i took it for a few laps around the car park to charge it up abit, the bloody gas cylinder ran out while i was near the far side of the car park, and ofcourse, after changing the bottle, the battery was still too flat to start it.

Low battery, no gas, I know just how that forklift feels.

The forklift training covers maintenance checks
Sorry, I couldn't help myself. We have lots of heavy equipment that our people use, Safety & Maintenance checks before using the expensive equipment is our first priority. Be safe and get the job done.

Nothing wrong with our safety and maintenance checks, the machine is serviced to the book done by a Mitsubishi forklift bloke, the battery simply died over night and wouldnt hold a charge anymore. It was a sealed maintenance free type anyway, so nothing we couldve done wouldve stopped that.
