I've been repairing my 96 passenger door window switch, got that replaced. Now I'm having a hell of a time getting the door panel to fit! I fit in the top edge, tuck in the wires and plugs, then put in the screws and push in the bottom buttons. The top edge towards the hinge point Pops out, and leaves a 1/"-3/8" gap? Is the panel warped, or did it shrink? I guess I could put a black screw in it to hold it down?

This is a notorious problem with our door panels. The easy and permanent fix is to mount a couple of small L brackets at the top of the door to hold the panel in place. The lip that's there is just not quite high enough to hold it well.
