Special thanks to ByebyeL98 for the help today.

We fired her up and she started and ran. I have to admit, it was exciting.

Here's some pics. Hopefully I want to finish it up tomorrow.

The pictures. Remember, I put the money IN the motor, not on it. I probably can stand to dress up the engine bay a bit. That's next years project.
I still have to mount the AC compressor and put the belt on, then I'm done and it's off to get a custom exhaust.

I need to tidy up under the hood, but that should not be that big of a deal.

Next winter is the suspension.

The weather is supposed to be nice tomorrow, I expect to get the compressor on and the belt on. Then I can take it around the block..

Keeping my fingers crossed on the weather.

The only issue is that I can't find one screw....the screw that holds the AC evaporator to the frame. It's a weird size.

I have a box full of screws and crap that I have been through, but I cant find it.

Lots of left over hardware. Only because everything I put on is new.

From the sound of it, this combo should pull NICELY!!!!

Yesterday was fun! When you've got everything buttoned up, we'll plan some time to data log. I'm sure the tune is close, but make sure it enters closed loop before you go too far.

How do I know if it hits closed loop? This is my first FI car, I'm not up on that computery stuff. I should have it done in the next couple hours. Waiting for the wife to go to church.

I don't want to go too far, cause I'll have to walk back if something goes wrong.

Scott, who came over yesterday, needs help with his boat. I was hoping to go to Paramus and back, just a couple miles. Will that be a problem if I don't get into CL?

Looks pretty awesome to me! You have done a great job! I know it has been a while too, but it is well worth the sweat and time involved.
I'll drink a cold beer for you today! Cheers

Congrats! Looks good. Let us know how she runs. What cam did you end up putting in? I know about your heads and the saga you overcame there, but I don't remember what cam you put in.

I verify closed loop with either my Auto X ray scanner or a scanning / data logging program and a lap top. I am not sure if there is a way to do it without any type of scanning equipment.

If the fueling is close, it won't be a problem. Pull a plug and see what it looks like. With open headers and the O2 sensor positioned in the collectors, I think it would actually be worse if it entered closed loop because the readings would be affected by the open air at the collectors.
