Anyone have a list of DTC's for a 94? I'm going to do plugs and wires on a guy's 94 next week and want to check them.
I've had Andy's list of 92-93 forever but don't have the 94's.
Thanks.

The list is detailed in the Genuine GM service manual.

No kidding? Who'd thunk it.

I'm not going to buy a 94 manual just to help another Corvette guy out.

92/93/94 codes are very similar.

The opti codes are the same, at the very least. H16/H36.

No they arent, alot of them are different, and so are the diagnostic procedures. 94/95 are the same. 92/93 are different to 94/95.

Use the Genuine GM service manual and read the right diagnostics the first go.

No good trying to guess by using something that is almost the same. Its like trying to thread a 13mm nut onto a 1/2" bolt, they are almost the same, but then, they are not the same at all are they.

You asked. You want the whole story or just read the blurb?

Tell him to bite the bullet and spend the money then, without it, the codes are useless to you anyway, cause you wont get the diagnostic flow charts off the site listed.

You should look again, cause they ARE there: http://www.troublecodes.net/GM/94_57P.shtml

There is well over 200 DTCs for a 94/95, and without the service manual to tell you exactly what will set them off instead of that garbage i see there on that site, all youre going to be able to do is get lucky if you managed to fix it. You cant test anything properly without the proper flow charts.

You might think what i say is harsh and i might come across as an arrogant prick, but the questions remain "do you want to do it right first go or not?" "Do you want to spend all day stuffing around and then come out looking like you have no clue when you got no where and cost a heap of money in the process?" I reckon youll answer no to both.

Im all for helping people out, but i wont give people a bum steer, and i wont help anyone that wont meet me halfway. I also wont go trying to 2nd guess at issues that can very easily be fixed by following what is written in the factory service manual.

All I asked in this post was if anyone had the list of codes, period. I didn't ask for diagnosis help or anything else.

I already told the guy he needs a FSM.
I've got FSM's for all the Vettes I've owned, in fact, I have FSM's for every vehicle I've owned. Do you have FSM's fo every Corvette?

There are some DTC's you can figure out without a manual. If the guy's got a 16 & 36, I can pretty much figure it's the opti. Most of the others require a FSM.
And I agree that the diagnosis should be done with the flowcharts.

If someone replys to my post in a harsh ( your definition) way, I'll probably reply in the same manner. You won't see me being harsh to people in my posts.
As far as this:

There was no issue, again all I did was ask for a list.

I'll meet ya halfway anytime.

I'll help if I can. I PM'd you my contact info. I have owned a '94 for many years now and have the FSM, of course. If you want to let me know when you are going to be pulling codes, I'll try to make sure that both the car and FSM are near by. Or if you post any codes found here I'll snap a pic of the maps that go with the code for you and post them. Just let me know.

Thanks Chris, Very generous offer. Right now I'm just going to pull codes for the hell of it. There's no problem with the car that I know of. I was also interested to see if the 94 codes were different from the 95-96.

96 DTCs are different, 95 DTCs are the same as 94, with a couple extras.
