I need to replace my balancer gm parts direct wants 500 dollars for the oem one my god its a chevy not a ferrari.
Just wondering if any one has tried the one from Jegs or Doorman there around 100 dollars for the oem copy or any other after market ones that don't cost 500 dollars thanks.

OEMs used to be around $300 and change and I thought that was ridiculous. I'm guessing that perhaps GM has quit making them and so the price has gone up for any remaining stock. Jeez, I only paid $380 for my ATI Super-Damper and it's one of the most expensive after-market ones there is. I've got two or three good stock ones around if you need one. One is an under 35K mile one that I'd sell for $75 and the others are higher mileage but look just as good. The alignment marks are still right on, the rubber looks good, etc. If you want one of them, I'll sell it to you for $50. The Corvette ones are different from F-bodies and I would guess the Impalas and other bigger cars that used LT1s. That probably accounts for the high price too. The old Corvette tax thing, you know.
