Hey everyone,

I've got a 94 and I'm having a little trouble resetting my tripometer. No problem resetting the fuel monitor, but with out resetting the trip, the average mpg isn't accurate for the current trip.

anyone know the sequence for button pushing? I get it once and a while, but dont know what I did.

Thanks....

select the trip-o-meter, then hit the reset trip button.

Resetting the trip isn't required to effect change to the fuel. The way the system works is based soley relating speed back to RPMs and fuel usage.

There is no sequence. Hold the trip reset button. Its that simple.

It makes no difference what so ever to the displayed MPG though.

O.K.

so I just started my car, selected fuel, hit reset and as requested it reset. however, when I selected trip and it displayed trip milage, then hit reset....nothing changed.
what gives. It appears both buttons work (make contact) all 3 buttons if you include fuel. Here I thought I was tripp'n.
any ideas??

I could only suggest the trip reset side is bad. That whole side with the buttons is an easy replacement.

Hold the button longer. Just pressing it doesnt reset the trip meter.
