Josh Does anyone have the cut away shot of the dual mass flywheel?

I want to know, exactly, how a dual mass flywheel works. I remember a cut away picture of one from a few years ago and I was wondering if anyone had that picture?

My main question is the flywheel sprung infinitely, or is there an internal stop to limit the rotation? If there is a stop, how far will the flywheel rotate before hitting it?

Here it is... Not sure if this is exactly for the vette or not. It can't rotate all the way. Maybe 1/2?

It stops... anything more than about 1" of deflection and the flywheel is toast.

Every one I've ever taken apart (probably 10 or so) I've been able to move more than an inch with my hands.

I was wondering how far the flywheel spins before transferring full power to the transmission. It looks like 180 degrees or so.

What's the spec in the FSM for replacement? Is it really one inch?
