Looks like I've got a leaking injector. I've got limited mechanical experience.

What's involved in replacing an injector? Is it hard or easy? Mostly is it safe to do in a home garage?

Thanks in advanced for the help.

Extremely easy. You want to bleed off the fuel pressure and remove the gas cap first, then pull your fuel rail covers then loosen and lift the fuel rail.

You can prime the system with the fuel rail still connected to see which injectors are leaking. Put some paper under each tip and turn the key on and off a few times.

I assume you mean it's leaking internally, not from the top o-ring? Either way the repair is about the same. I would not drive a car if it was leaking from the oring.

Looks like it's leaking from the top. I found a small pool of fuel by the injectors when I lifted off the fuel rail covers. I mopped it up and then I saw one of the injectors leak a small drop of fuel from the top. At that point I shut the car off and figured that I wouldn't drive it again until I fixed it.

I assume I can bleed off the fuel pressure by pulling the fuel pump fuse and letting the car run until it shuts down?

Thanks

You may have a schrader valve on the fuel rail that you can bleed it off with, looks like a tire valve stem.

But if not, yeah pulling the fuse and doing that will accomplish the same.
