Made some progress on the Impala today and yesterday. Yesterday I got the 4L60E out in 4 hours flat. Not exactly as the quickest removal but pretty good for the guy with a bad spleen and liver. (or at least thats my excuse)

Today I got started on installing the Probuilt Transgo Shift Kit. I'm not going to beat around the bush. This installation is a PITA and I think I may have to correct a few things I forgt to do today tomorrow. But slowly but surely its coming along.

Hopefully friday I will be able to install the Edge Converter and load the tranny back into the car.

Wish me luck,
Dan

What does the shift kit install entail? Pulling the valve body and changing springs? Dropping little marbles and springs everywhere and wondering where they go back in?

You got it! Actually I thought I as doing well, but after speaking with Probuilt this morning I realize I am going to have to go back in and make a few corrections.

Its a pain in the SS but I know that the results will be worth it.

My dad had a black SS. Neat car. I wish it had bucket seats though. I don't know what they called the "Ruby" colored ones, but I would love to have one as my family truckster!
