Any interest in pics and a write up?

I would be interested in some Pics. This pull clutch thing isn't working out. The nylon sleeve was missing from the TOB and no one has the 94-95 TOB. Looks like plan B.

Only place that has the TOB by itself is AC-Delco. Rockauto.com is probably the cheapest source. The early tob has no nylon sleeve.

Fated, your cheapest way out from where you are now is to stick with the parts list. I'm not even clear on what parts you have now. But it sounds like a ZR1 clutch set for ~$250 is your missing link.

LD, I thought you had your setup working with the clutch pedal stop? Or are you trying a different setup?

Checked everywhere for TOB and all were not carried or out of stock. Bought a clutch set. The TOB I have has a bore oof .370 so it is too small for the early and hangs on the pilot sleeve with about 3/32 yo spare so I assume the bushing is gone. I was wondering how long it took them to get the packing material out when the installed the damn thing.

What do you mean by pilot sleeve?

The black tag (89-mid94) TOB is ACDELCO Part # CT1073, GM#10203567

I can't seem to find the blue tag one (mid94-96).

BUT, I think I have a brand new one at home I was keeping as a spare, with the nylon sleeve in it, if you've got a blue tag trans. Would you be interested in it?

I sure would. PM me with details.
By pilot sleeve I mean the tube that comes out of the front bearing retainer and the TOB slides back and forth on it. I have about 3/32 inch slop here and I belive it is because that nylon sleeve is missing.
