Well I got the headers on finally, but now my quandary is whether or not to use the EGR. The headers have fittings for EGR but I haven't drilled them out yet.
I was trial fitting the EGR tubes and I can already tell they are going to be a PITA to fit properly without a bunch of bending, cutting and welding back together. What did you guys do to get your EGR tubes on the LT-1 to fit? Did you bend them or cut and re-weld them? To delete the EGR system on an LT-1 what all comes off? Will it kill my chances at a clean emissions test? |

If you have smog tests, keep it for sure.
I like EGR, it helps keep detonation down and reduces NOx, which is a really REALLY bad pollutant. |

Are you talking about the air injection tubes?

The air injection and the EGR are not the same thing.
BTW during WOT all of that's turned OFF anyways, so you really don't gain anything. |
