The point I am after is that O2 sensors require air as a reference in order to give a valid reading. Believe it or not, the air comes from the wires. I know, sounds wierd. That's why you can't cut or alter the wires in the pigtail. Any splices will affect it's operation.

Just a jumper. I removed it.

What do you mean by jumper? Did you cut or splice the wires between the plug and the sensor?

No cutting.....I put a 12" jumper/extension in between the 02 plug and the 02 itself to keep the 02 wires off of the headers.

Where did you put the jumper? You cannot mess with the O2 after the connector. Any extensions have to be added upstream of the plug.

An O2 sensor has to have ambient air as a reference. Believe it or not, it gets it from the wires. putting a splice in there screws it up. You will need a new O2.

No way I would pay that much for a car that doesn't run. Tell him to put in a set of injectors and get it running and you will pay the 3500 plus the price of the injectors.

That will tell you if he is lying or not. You can't trust anyone but your mother in these deals.

Just went thru the same thing. I tried to remove the hose from the slave and the threads went with it. I had to buy a new slave and am about to buy a new hose. The fittings are 12mm-1.0 and damn hard to find.

Corvette Stainless Brakes makes a nice hose for around $90.

Judging from the video, there was quite a distance there. The dude in the BMW has some issues... I am sorry. I never felt the Mazda was working it or anything... just following at a reasonable distance.

That is very similiar to what I did. I was even able to get a 19mm (3/4") socket and ratchet on the end of the spark plug socket, but trouble keeping it there. A 3/4" flex head gear wrench might have been better, but I wasn't about to buy one for a one time job. I had better luck in facing forward and using my left hand. Not as young and limber as I used to be that much is sure.

IIRC, I tried it with a flex head rachet & socket the first tme and also had trouble keeping the socket on the plug.

The socket I use now has the rubber plug holder in it s, the socket stays on the plug when I use the boxend wrench.

Either way, you're good for another 20k+

You know Brian, I have been accused of being hard on you. Maybe yes, maybe no but I can't help myself on this one.

One of the things that made you pop up on my radar is this "me too" thing.

Someone mentions a Blower- "hey, I have one on a shelf."

I have 10,000 posts--"hey, I am halfway there."

It is sensitive with me because I had a brother like that. He was constantly trying to pump himself up. He died in a flop house and we didn't find him for a week.

If you were a teenager or 20 something, I would let it slide. But you are not. No offense meant to those age groups. It is just that most of us mature.

Why not just congratulate Bogus and leave it at that.

You amaze me. Others on this and the other forum have agreed with me privately but I appear to be the only one willing to call you out.

Bogus-If this gets me kicked off, it was worth it.
Congrats on the post mark. I admire your patience and drive.

The thing that looks funny is the fact that you never revisited the GK thread. You posted several times after the question was raised. Are you saying that you posted in other threads but never checked on yours? Why did you never close out the thread?

The challenge was made on Jan 8. You say you didn't see it because you were on vacation but you posted virtually every day during that period. 205 posts about GK? I personally couldn't care less about your relationship with GK. Just don't piss in my ear and tell me it's raining. Your apology thread is not closed.

If it quacks like a duck?
