Wow, might be hard to find someone still running the original Bose stereo.

My '85 owner's manual says the Bose instructions came in a seperate manual!

But the non-Bose may be similar...

To change hour:

Press the SET button, light on dial comes on and radio frequency displays.

Then press and hold SCAN until correct hour appears.

To change minute:

Press SET button, light on dial comes on and radio frequency displays.

Then press and hold SEEK until correct minute appears.

that should work. The bose part was the speakers, not the head... that was Delco with a bose name on it.

Good catch. Yeah, it was either am/fm, or cassette.

oh, my... CD is right... that barely existed in 1984!!! I remember the first time I saw a CD player in a car, and that was seriously aftermarket, 1985!!

The later systems... gee... a lot depends on where it came from. Can you take a picture of the face plate?

Right..if it has CD than its later for sure!

This drove me NUTS back when I first bought mine!
On the 84 OEM Unit... Its actually a cool very "old school" way...like setting the radio presets! You PULL the buttons out to set the clock. There is one for minutes and one for hours.
Pull out the SCAN button to set hour.
Pull out SEEK to set minute!

When ignition is off you can also just check time by pressing the ON,Off,Volume control knob.
