Any clue as to why the security light would stay on after starting? Open door, light flashes. Start car, light goes solid and stays on. Turn car off, light flashes. Lock doors and light goes solid as it should.

The problem is the light stays on after the car is running.

I just had a new ignition put in with the appropriate resistence. Does the CCM have to adjust to the new switch? Is there any other reason why the security light might stay on after changing the cylinder? It starts and runs fine but the security light stays on after starting. They claim the dealer told them I should run it for a few days to see if the light goes out on its own. Is that plausable or am I'm just being skeptical?

They screwed up somewhere along the way. The CCM does not have to adjust. It's a set value.
