A friend found these pics of my old car. I could never win a COMSCC with it mainly due to a 150HP disadvantage to the damn ZR-1's. I had poly bushings, Koni 4PA's on custom mounts (made by me, pre Hardbar days. They had titanium cross pins in a CNC block), brake mods but stock LOOKING, Goodyear GS-CS track tires, measly 245 HP, but lots and lots of set-up and practice time. Since I live so close the NHMS, I had to substitute a good setup for -150 HP. I even had a pro Indy car driver drive it, and he ran the piss out of it and I was still about 4-5 tenths quicker than him so I felt good. I really liked that car but the L98 just would run out of breath at 4500-5000 RPM and I hated that. It made me really appreciate the LS7 I have now that I routinely take to 7K with more than 2x the power.

Probably handles a tad better too.

Yea, just a little . I think all and I mean all slide rail brakes are atrocious and have no redeeming value on a high performance car.

Absolutely. They're fine for a grocery getter. From a design standpoint, the only reason they are put on production vechiles thet I can think of is cost.

One of the reasons I like open wheel so much is the brakes, power to weight don't you know? 4 piston calipers all around on a 1200 lb car are impressive.
I wish I had a chance to try the brakes on a C5-6R.

Nope, these are PFC ZR33 calipers on Hardbar rotors. I should have the new AP racing Radi-cal calipers on all 4 corners. They are the new DTM (German touring car series) calipers with an air bridge to cool the outside on the caliper and rotor.
