Wesley Snipes Indicted In Tampa
Faces tax charges Tuesday, October 17, 2006 Wesley Snipes has been indicted in Tampa on charges of failing to pay nearly 12-milliion dollars in taxes, and failing to file tax returns for six years. Prosecutors say Snipes fraudulently claimed refunds in 1996 and 1997 on taxes already paid, and failed to file returns between 1999 and 2004. Each count carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison. Snipes stars in the "Blade" trilogy, Spike Lee's "Jungle Fever". and the 1992 blockbuster "White Men Can't Jump." |
