I can't find ANYTHING on this commendation (that Panetta recieved)...

In 1964 he joined the United States Army as a Second Lieutenant. There he received the Army Commendation Medal, and was discharged in 1966 as a First Lieutenant. Wikipedia...... search Army Commendation Medal; The Commendation Medal is a mid-level United States military award which is presented for sustained acts of heroism or meritorious service. So since his records do not reflect a tour to the republic of VN, and only two years served means he was an Army Reservist or a National Guardsman, we can surmise he was an awful good ass kisser. Hence the start of his political career..... |
