Both should move up and down, quietly and reasonably fast.

If a window does not work, this most likely means a bad motor, but check the fuse pane...

Here's my Q...

I am slowly piecing together parts for the motor to do some minor stuff. I just picked up my 1.6 roller rockers. I am planning on a cam that is similar to the zz9 or accel 211 - in that range (there are a lot out there...whatever I get the best price on is going in). The cams in the range I'm looking at generally have up to a .560 lift max with 1.6 rrs.

I have read that the springs should have a lift of at least .40 more than your cam's lift, hence around .600. What else do I need to know about which spring pressure and the like. I don't think I will need pushrods, but is that a possibility? I know spring diameter will most likely be larger than stock, but when I have my heads rebuilt next year sometime (and install everything) I'll have them cut for that.

Thanks,

Matthew

The figure I am familiar with is .060" clearance between the spring coils at maximum valve lift. Since you will be replacing the springs, just buy the springs the cam manufacturer specs for the cam you buy. When your heads are being set up, tell the builder the amount of lift your cam has and ask him to set the installed spring height accordingly.

Unless your valve train geometry is off, there should be no need to buy push rods.
