I have burned my entire weekend trying to get this horn working. 1969 Standard Steering.
I pulled off the cap and found the plates underneath were not arranged for a through contact, lined everything up and seems good. Now I either have fulltime horn or no horn. Everything is working it's just the way I am installing the pin, spring and little plastic insulator. I have searched this and other sites and found lots of pic's and narratives but it seems that this last step is to simple to be of concern. Can some one tell me what order/arrangment these three pieces are installed in ? What length is the alumimum pin supposed to be? I have tried from 3/4" to 1-1/4"

Thank you
feeling stupid

I really wish I could help you John. I know how frustrating a chase like this can be.
