Tried to buy a tranny filter for my 1986 4+3 tranny, from a G.M dealership this week and low and behold the part is discontinued here in Canada . Anyone else come across this?

I believe that a Ford Fmx trans from the early 70's uses the same filter. You must reuse the o-ring in your current filter, so do not throw it away.

I have a Better Mouse Trap.

I installed an External Canister Filter. Not only Much better filtering but also adds a quart or so more Fluid.

Go to www. jegs.com Part# is Perma-Cool 771-10678 or 771-10677
