Case'

I believe I understand where your coming from. We must remember that your country is much smaller in population with controlled borders. Your government appears to have a better handle of managing its laws and does not have to answer to the world. The USA has a complex and out of control government, that is held accountable to each and every world event.

As a sailor I traveled half the world during the VietNam War and was treated to the world with a different view than was presented by our media then. It's apparent the our citizens are arrogant and pompous when traveling abroad and our media and entertainment standards are rude and thoughtless.

So then we look towards one person that is "elected" to serve as the spokesperson to the world. Yes, Bill and George have not necessarily been the pinnacle of this position. Personally Bill was an absolute embarrassment to the highest position of our land and this is the reason the most folks will not vote for his wife. George on the other hand was not really the best person for the job. BUT! he was the better of the two choices we've had at the past two elections.

Now we count down to the next president that once again we have to decide on one.

As a nation that originally based its freedom on "Taxation without representation", (LOL!) we loose almost 60% of our paychecks to taxes. And the Democratic wisdom is based on raising taxes and making us more dependent upon the government. THere is actually a law still on the books that allows one to not pay taxes. But the courts do not let us exersize this law freely. We have out of control borders, a legal system that has run amuck and polititions that are not accountable for their own actions be it legal or illegal.

All this being said, this is my country. I have fought for it's flag where others had died. Our next president will not be any better than those he has preceded. Because he leads a government that is unchanging.

So, like it or not its my country and I'm standing by it's flag.

India 1.0 billion

1-800 -xxxxx isn't that through the national florists assoc?

I used proflowers.com and used the "rush" discount.

As I finished the online order, an advertisement was offered for a $15 off coupon on the next order. I declined and at the next billing statement was presented with a $14.99 monthly charge for some marketing / discount club.

Pro flowers would not take my complaint and did not answer the emails.

I had to call the marketing group and cancel my membership.

All I can say is the flowers are great and my aging Aunt loves how pretty they are, and always arrive when promised.

Anyone?

The guy just doesn't want to play.

Also It would be "helpful" if you all exposed your email addresses on the site. That way I'd have two methods of communication to the group

PP takes a percentage of the transfer for their fees.

So if you send 20 we end up with 17.50 or some odd number.

Since time is not important, snail mail MO's will be fine.

Thats how I plan to return the widgets

No offense my friend, but we are continuously bombarded with media misinformation to a point where I for one have little faith in the validity of such information.

I read that China and India produce more hydrocarbons than the US and Canada combined. They consume more oil based fuels as well. So why are we being held accountable for the greenhouse effects? And why should any of us feel guilty for the polar ice caps melting?

I say send the enviros over to those countries and let them protest their governments. Then we can watch 'em rot in those prisons over there!

Cutting down trees to reduce greenhouse gases?

Wheres the Sierra Club when you need it!?

In an environmental dispute seemingly scripted for eco-friendly California, a man asked prosecutors to file charges against his neighbors because their towering redwoods blocked sunlight to his backyard solar panels.

But the couple next door insisted they should not have to chop down the trees to accommodate Mark Vargas' energy demands because they planted the redwoods before he installed the solar panels in 2001.

After more than six years of legal wrangling, a judge recently ordered Richard Treanor and his wife, Carolyn Bissett, to cut down two of their eight redwoods, citing an obscure state law that protects a homeowner's right to sunlight.

The couple does not plan to appeal the ruling because they can no longer afford the legal expenses, but they plan to lobby state lawmakers to change or scrap the law.

The Solar Shade Control Act means that homeowners can "suddenly become a criminal the day a tree grows big enough to shade a solar panel," Treanor said.

The case marks the first time a homeowner has been convicted of violating the law, which was enacted three decades ago, when few homeowners had solar systems.

Residents can be fined up to $1,000 a day for violations, though the judge did not impose any fines against the Treanors.

Vargas says the law protects his $70,000 investment in solar power, and he believes it should be strengthened.

"I think it's unfair that a neighbor can take away this source of energy from another neighbor," he said.

Treanor and Bissett, who drive a hybrid Toyota Prius, argue that trees absorb carbon dioxide, cool the surrounding air and provide a habitat for wildlife.

Vargas, who recently bought a plug-in electric car, counters it would take two or three acres of trees to reduce carbon dioxide emissions as much as the solar panels that cover his roof and backyard trellis.

Bernadette Del Chiaro, clean energy advocate for Environment California, says the solar shade law might need to be revised to prevent similar disputes.

----So the morons will continue to engage in hypocrisies until we have no power and no trees. That'll make the Sierra Club real happy !!!

I think we can all afford 20 for the entire season? Heck that hardly buys 7 gallons of gas.

I'll hold but best that we use MO rather than PP or other means.

Been looking at the stats and can't help to feel that Smoke is due. However, on-track contact last week with Kurt Busch led to an off-track confrontation. Stewart allegedly punched Busch during a meeting with NASCAR and both drivers entered Sunday's season-opener on six weeks' probation. Jr has some steam, but lacks help from the other drivers. Maybe they think a Super-Star is one who can drive the part. Jeff will win if his car doesn't break. Does he seem a too worried about his car these days? Martin might be a good bet and Jimmy should take the pole but I'm afraid that will go to a Toyota this time. And Neuman....... he was a 30:1 long shot at Daytona, he might have better odds this weekend.

quote="DaleD"I've had my car for a year, but it's now 21 years old. I have no clue when or if the shocks have been changed. I was reading Andy's write up on how to change shocks and got to thinking, how do I tell if mine are bad? /quote

Replace your shock if; The shocks are more than 5 years old. Leaking fluid on the body/tube. Or you have no idea how old they are.

quote="DaleD"so I'd like a shock that is a compromise between a racer and a decent ride./quote

Most of the kids today are socially retarded.

They started as "lock key" kids. Spent most of their social lives watching the tube or playing video games. They lacked being called down when acting like jackasses in public. Either by their parents or other adults.

The other day I watched a coupla families at the In-&-Out. A Mexican family was enjoying the food and family. No crying or bad behaviors. Two other white families: one was bitching cause she didn't like the food and the other was swearing at his mother.
