have not tried that yet, looked at this key and the pellet looks tight and not to worn.

i have tried cleaning and lube. before it was not unlocking it had some no starts just trun the key and nothing try a few hours later it would start. i took it to a tech that had it for two weeks never could get it to act up. the day i took it home and stoped at the store i get back an no start then two hours later it starts

so I could keep my oem key and just change the lock cylinder? I think that is the main issue. have the key coded for the new lock cylinder?

its a 89 the switch hangs up it will crank but then its like hell to trun off and it will not switch to acc it is a auto

I need to put a new ingniton key switch in this car the other day i could not get the dam thing to trun off with out pushing in and truning it forward would it unlock and trun off never seen a GM car do that would like to take out the vats and have a new switch what is needed to do this and who sells the parts
