I am doing the waterpump today and finish tommorrow-- I can not get the radiator cap off at the top radiator coolant contanter the black one????? Is that supposed to stay on?? seems wierd and I do not want to break it- so far all hoses are off and coolant drained and 1 bolt out on pump--- 5 more to go no more time today please help thank you...

checkout paceperformance.com they have the whole kit for 819.95- i want to do this also but i will see if i can change the waterpump with out any hard problems first LOL..also i have read alot of tuning problems when doing this so i am leary of doing this now.. please pm me when you complete it i would like to know.youtube has some examples of lt1 hot cam installs and what they sound like.. good luck..

wow ok then it isn't just me- get this I called them today to get the new balance to pay for this month and the bastages fing morron dipshets will not let me talk to anyone after i put in my cell number// what a bunch of broken douchbags.on vacation i believe i will go to the mall and deal with more dipsticks at other cell providers and tell verizon to stick it...any suggestions of a good cell company?? I sent verizon a check, it cashed at the bank, they posted the amount wrong, charged me a late fee, wanted all my info from checking account then said we need to submit it to treasury dept..i called them 5 times and spoke with 4 different butfaces and the last time could no get through..Then they never called me back , hung up on me when I said I am tired of dealing with idiots, and I have no response of the amount i owe this month but after 3 days they admitted they were wrong but did not credit me anything xtra but said they would wave the late fee? wtf can you believe this crap?? I have spend over 2 hours between them and the bank and got charged 3 bucks for hard copy of cashed check-verizon said we did not make you do that it was your decision..has anyone else dealt with this outright we don't care what you say our computer says different attitude from people like this?? or am i just crazy and should hang up on myself..

Well I have gotten all my parts except the new hoses and thermostate gasket. I did go with the 160 thermo not to start a brawl but if all goes well I will post if it did help run cooler during normal driving. I would also like to post pics as I attempt to replace the waterpump myself...The only problem is how do I load pictures to this site??? I hope to install the new waterpump next weekend or the following. I hope i can do it correctly and help those who need to do this job also....Thanks again guru patrons !!

Ahh the oil threads I have read numerous articles on this subject.I use rp and rp filter 5-40 and no leaks oil looks clean etc reason is my car sits for months at a time and they say it has additives to reduce rust and moistier? who knows...and the same with mobil one used in every other car i have with mobil one filter..pretty much all synthetics are good just make sure you have a quality filter it is what keeps the oil clean..and check it regularly and change it when it starts getting brown-never black-I read 20 minutes at 2 grand for cam break in- then change oil after b500 more miles change oil again--check out golenengineservice.com They had an article on what to do with a new engine somewhere.. goodluck.

drive it until the wheels fall off.. Then rebuild what is broken..I read all these stories of people hopping up the engine to have nothing but trouble.tune codes bad idle etc.. They scared me away from installing gm hot cam and port polish heads..The best thing i have read and i am a newb is put long tube headers on it from melrose or arh..get around 20-25 rwhp and no mechanical woes..and the open airbox k and n filter. or the slp claw.good luck post what you are doing I would like to know..

OHH the pain !! my car seems to be running a little hot on highway around 204.. it used to stay in the low 190's .but I could not find a leak in the water pump.. but the white extra cooling container has dropped a level in it .. I have added more (dex gm aprroved)and it has dropped again to about 2 inched from the bottom..It never stays at the top where it says hot.. I have also got some sort of fluid underneath my hood?? arrghh!! I wiped it off drove it again and it reappeared?? I don't know if I over oiled the k and n filter or if it is moisture from the ac or is it radiator fluid..??? Right behind the mass air flow has a tube into the coupler moister was coming out of there.. I have no idea why that would ever be wet?? I store the car in the garage under a cover.?? Has anyone experienced this problem>>?? There is no fluid on my garage floor; I would think if the waterpump was failing it would drip until it was empty am I wrong?? Thanks again for any help..It seems as if my dream car is slowly becoming a nightmare. It has 52k original miles I bought it used with 33k in 2000.. I hardly drive it but now i want to start to get it back to new condition , interior, window seals, engine hot part bolt ons-and new brakes..Thanks again for any help..

My car keeps throwing codes I have replaced the cat and o2 sensor , That was really expensive I put about 400 miles on it and the service engine light came on again?? Is there a code reader I can buy that won't break the bank.and will tell you what is wrong instaed of throwing parts at it hooping the service engine light will go off,,.. THANKS..
