"P" is the code for the standard LT1, 1992 & up.
Not sure what mif (5) is but an LT5 is the engine in a ZR1. If you're looking at a website parts list (half of them are screwed up), P is the standard engine. |

5 is for the LT5 engine.

The LT5 is J, tho?
In the VIN, the P code is for the LT1, the J code for the LT5. In 1996, the LT4 used VIN code 5 for the engine designator. |
