Hi guys.... been to Montana and back with a nice C5 Corvette..... 1450 miles in 3 days... I had my bud from across the section tag along to help with the driving and getting the car loaded... we got the tires pumped up and a battery in it before we could roll down the windows and free up the steering.... had a winch in the trailer so that went easy... the hardest part was getting an old 81 Chevy pickup out of the way so we could get the Vette out of the garage...

that took a chunk of fuel hose and a new battery plus 5 gallons of gas to get it running and moved.... the blue baby is home and will move it into the shop tonight.... 750 from her to Montana in 12 hours and took us 12.5 hours coming back... we had to stop more for fuel... the Duramax did the round trip at 11.5 mpg.... not bad for hauling that shoe box of a car trailer.

The C5 is a great car and a great platform to modify. The sky is literally the limit.

Glad you got it home. Now the fun begins. Noting here today, we’ve just laid around all weekend. I’ve been in the pool some but it’s too cold today. High of 77 here so I’m in my beach chair outside taking in the fresh air watching hummingbirds. Work tomorrow then he wants to take a cheap beach trip before he goes back. I told him next time he plans a surgery give me more notice that way I can schedule having a whole month off and we can just go rent a beach condo for a month and be done with it.

2002 Convertible LS1 6M 2.66 first gear and .05 6th gear. 3.42 rear axle, preferred equipment group, has the remote 12-disc changer in the trunk.... Electron Blue with white top. Light gray interior..... it's pretty well optioned out.

Z51 performance handling package and FE3 sport suspension system. hope it doesn't ride rough.... HUD...

it has an ancient Vortec supercharger kit on it from 2004, but the belt striped some teeth off of it and he was always going to put a new belt on, but the car sat and sat, and I would tell him to just have it fixed, and he was always going to do that but it never happened.

It has a chip in the ECM for the tune.... oh the humanity...
