Is it as simple as take the fuse out, disconnect the battery then unbolt the bag, then pull the connector?

Wear goggles too. When the bag is out, lay it face up on the bench. Some advocate waiting several minutes after the battery is disconnected before begining. I wonder if there is a charged capacitor that fires the bag and that's why they wait.

well... it's not that scary. I have done this... and the airbag simply isn't that unstable.

I would wash my hands first, this way it lowers the chance of a static discharge. Then again, you are in Hawai'i which is a rather humid part of the world...

I agree, put it face up... that way it won't launch.

Remove the fuse, unplug the bag, remove. To be honest, if they were that unstable, I would expect them to pop in a lightening storm. Speed bumps would be deadly.

First generation airbags are armed for some minutes after battery is disconnected. Later ones it's only tens of seconds. The 94 vette is the later type. I would guess that the 93 is the early type since the airbags changed in 94, but check the FSM.

Thanks guys. The service manual says wait 10 minutes. So I will wait a DAY!!!
Hopefully it will go smooth, as I am doing the tilt pins etc. I just need the plate lock remover? Tool.
