Hey I'm researching in the hope of buying a nice 93-96 C4 next spring. Anyway I saw a picture of a 96 Collector ed. with a hard top convertible. Can't find any good info. Do they have a soft top under there too? Pull the hard top off and you have access to the soft top? Or are they either a hard top or a soft top but not both? I couldn't see any options listed for a hardtop on the on line fact sheets and options lists.

First off, I will just move this.

The hard top is bolted into place. It slips under a clip at the rear of the interior, or something like that, and is bolted in at the windscreen header.

The soft top is simply stowed down.

I see. The hard top was an option for the convertible. Any idea what that option cost?

Auxiliary Hardtop! Only 429 made with this option in 1996. RPO cost was $1995.00
