I got a few things, but lately time has been the main factor and it doesn't appear to let up any time soon.

I know right. I got this in an email and it was too good not to share. Showed the wife, she said it would be worse for me then that poor guy.

It all began with an iPhone...

March was when our son celebrated his 17th birthday, and we got him an iPhone. He just loved it. Who wouldn't?

Photobucket

I celebrated my birthday in July, and my wife made me very happy when she bought me an iPad.

Photobucket

Our daughter's birthday was in August so we got her an iPod Touch.

Photobucket

My wife celebrated her birthday in March so I got her an iRon.

Photobucket

It was around then that the fight started...

What my wife failed to recognize is that the iRon can be integrated into the home network with the iWash, iCook and iClean.

This inevitably activates the iNag reminder service.

I should be out of the hospital next week!!

I inspected it when I got it home. Apparently, the several coats of wax that I keep on it did the trick. Only dirt I see is behind the wheels. No water spots either. I'll just have to wipe down under the car. No chips in the paint, thank god!

I'm actually off today but I had to go into the office this morning to hand out some paychecks. I go out to start the DD and it wouldn't turn over to save it's life. I was already running behind and the wife has her car and she was at her sisters in North Chicago. I had no other choice than to break out the C3 that was sitting in the garage. For weeks it's been hot and sunny. The one day I desperately had to use the green machine it's about to rain. The car has seen rain maybe once or twice since the resto and that was probably just sitting in the driveway. So, I put the tops on and the back window and make the five mile trip to work in a complete down pour. She was all over the place in rain. No traction. Shot up interstate 55 and I had a death grip on the wheel. I'll now spend the next week cleaning underneath again. It's my fault having a car so impracticable! What a crappy Friday!

An old guy was working out in the gym when he
spotted a sweet young thing...

He asked the trainer that was near-by, "What machine
in here should I use to impress that sweet thing over there?"
The trainer looked him up and down and said, "I would
try the ATM in the lobby."

Quick update to everyone. All moved in. Finally got the family and all our stuff to Chicago. My wife took our youngest son with her to visit some family in North Chicago while my 7 year old stayed with me this afternoon. We were out just cruising around and ended up in Naperville. There was a car show going on so we stopped in. Pressure from all the people and my son of course, I reluctantly entered it. It was detailed decent but not to what I consider car show ready. Long story short, I won my class! Somewhat embarrassing as I could tell the local folk weren't too happy that a guy from out of town rolls in and steals their show. My phone died on me so I didn't get any pictures at the show. Once I got home I took a few. Happy to have the car here and the family of course. Happy 4th!

Well I finally found a house in the south suburbs of Chicago near Joliet. I should be able to get the house and move in sometime in late June. That's one less thing to worry about. The wife and kids are still in up-state NY. I know I won't miss that part of the country.

I can't wait to get the green machine here as it'd been close to six months since I last drove it. I see Corvettes all over up here so I'm seriously itching to get it out here and enjoy it.

There are a few Hooters close by so keep your eye out for me there!

You the man! Those are the true essentials that I need to know. The nearest Hooters to me here in NY is about 200 miles away.

Thanks everyone! I hope to get situated soon enough in Chi-Town to attend some shows. The poor C3 has been sitting for too long. It hasn't been seen forever. I almost forgot what it looked liked as it has been covered up for so long.

Sorry I haven't been on the site as much. I had a change in careers once again. After spending the last year here in New York, the company I was working for laid me off. Thanks to the help of my good friend Durango Boy (Matt), I've accepted a job in the Chicago area with a logistics company. At least I'm getting out of up-state New York. It's nice in the summer, but hell froze over in the winter. I spent five years in Chicago before so this should be an easy transition. All Corvette guys in the Chicago area, we'll have to hook up this summer. Wish me luck!

When I got my '74 way back when, I had to put a new tank in it. The shop that dropped the tank and put the new one in said they saw some kind of paper attached to the old one, but just threw it away as it was unreadable. Ugh......!

Don, PS3 are not too bad. I just got a new 160GB PS3 for $299. I tried the steering wheel but it just isn't worth it. The hand held controllers work fine. If you have HD tv then using an HDMI cable with the PS3 is the only way to go.

I went on-line last night in a Corvettes only group and it was a blast. Raced at Daytona and Laguna Seca. My C4 did better than the new ZR1. No matter how I set up the ZR1, I couldn't get the power to the pavement. Fun game. I can't wait for spring so I can actually enjoy a real Corvette!

Spent almost all last night playing GT5 on my PS3. I got my garage full of all the Corvettes.

*69 Stingray
*85 Corvette
*63 Split Window
*96 GS
*2004 Z06
*2010 Z06
*2010 ZR1 Race Modified

The graphics and car physics are incredible. The detail and inside shots of the cars are very accurate. The look behind the wheel of the 69 when I'm driving cracks me up because it looks so familiar.

My favorite car however is not a Corvette as I'm ashamed to say. It's the Lamborghini Murcielago Superveloce LP670-4. I would love to drop the hammer on one of those for real!

Yes, boring weekend. Still too much snow!

Ok... another update!

I have added a bit of welcoming text. That image was taken by DB and is of Curtis' 2 vettes, before he sold the C4. I loved that image and had to find a use for it!

Thanks again Andy. I sure do miss owning that '95. I wish I still had it. Maybe this spring I'll add a C5.........

I remember the day Matt and I took those pictures. Fun day!

Thanks Tommy. That's much better. I hope to be in Florida this same time next year. The move up here was temporary.

Woke up this morning to more snow. Took some pictures of the back yard and the river at the back of my fence. Up-State NY looks pretty this time of year but cold as hell.......Merry Christmas everyone. Only five more months before I can break out the Corvette....Yea!

Thanks guys. Glad I'm not the only one with the winter blues. Next year I hope to be working in south Florida with my company.

Had our first real snow last weekend here in up-state NY and excepting more tomorrow. I've had the Corvette stored away in the garage the last couple months and I'm about to lose my mind. I started it the other day just to hear it. What a great sound!
