The '91 FSM shows the #1,2&3 cables routed in front of the distributor and says they must be done that way although the diagram is obviously out of date as the valve covers are not center bolt.
My car has them behind the distributor and it came that way from the factory. I'm going to put new cables in and although they look better behind the distributor, it's a royal pain to do it. Decisions.... |

Changed the routing some. I'm happy with the result.
No idea why the #1 cable was routed to the passenger side, then back around, from the factory AFAIK. |

I routed mine the factory way. If you buy the precut lengths it works out that way.
