When I bought this gem the Cruise control didn't work. I replace the instrument cluster and was told that the right one that worked with the Cruise control had to be in vehicle for it to function properly? I replaced mine with the right one . Still no go. What should I check that is not in the Haynes manual. Received lots of good information from other on other issues so far. Thanks

Most often it is the electrical switch on the brake pedal that goes bad. But first I would check that it is holding vacuum.
